Instead of being excited or looking forward to each morning as the promise of a new day, people suffering with anxiety or depression often dread starting the day. Family or friends may try to help with words of encouragement, “Cheer up” or “Why can’t you just let it go?” If only it were that easy…but it’s not, and so few people understand.
